Supporting Vulnerable Groups

Luton Sexual Health can provide the following support for anyone involved in any type of Commercial Sex Work:

  • Fast track into clinic for full STI screening including HIV
  • STI treatment and care
  • Fast track into clinic for full range of contraception
  • Emergency contraception
  • Access to PEP
  • Access to PrEP
  • Hepatitis B vaccinations and boosters
  • Specialised condoms (Extra) and lube

If you are supporting a client engaging in commercial sex work who needs support to access sexual health services, please contact the Outreach Team on 07721880566 – available Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm.

If your client requires any drug/alcohol support, please contact Resolutions on 0800 054 6603 to find out what services are available.

If any clients you are working with are involved in sex trafficking and require support, please contact Azalea on 01582 733200.

LSH can provide the flowing support and services for anyone who identifies as LGB or Trans/Non-Binary/Non-gendered:

  • Full STI screening including HIV
  • STI treatment and care
  • Full range of contraception
  • Hepatitis B vaccinations and boosters
  • HPV vaccinations males (males assigned at birth) for 15-45 year olds
  • Access to PEP
  • Access to PrEP 
  • Support for those engaging in chemsex
  • Condoms and lube
  • Cervical Cancer testing for Trans Males
  • Support to come out
  • Support in relation to gender identity and transitioning
  • Support to complete referrals to Gender Identity Clinics (GIC) and with GPs to explore Gender Dysphoria

If you are working with a vulnerable young person who is under 16 who requires urgent clinical support (STI screening, contraception or Emergency contraception) you can call a member of the Outreach Team to discuss who will be able to assess their needs, and if appropriate, book them a suitable clinical appointment. You may also refer young people into our 121 programme for additional support with our education team. Please complete this referral form and return to Andrew.trowbridge@nhs.net.

  • Tailored 121 support as part of our 121 intervention programme, with particular reference to sex and the law, consent and safer sexual practices
  • Sexual health group sessions – this can be mixed or gender specific
  • Fast track into clinic for full STI screening including HIV
  • STI treatment and care
  • Fast track into clinic for full range of contraception
  • Emergency contraception

LSH can provide a quiet waiting area away from the main waiting area for clients who may suffer with anxieties or who may feel uncomfortable in unfamiliar environments.
